Our Story

My journey to Greenvyne didn’t start in a boardroom. It began in the beautiful chaos of my kitchen, after I paused my corporate career to care for my firstborn and support my partner's return to work.

Like many new parents, our home was suddenly filled with a rainbow of plastic. I bought the colourful bowls and cute shape plates recommended by parenting groups, hoping, like we all do, that they might magically convince my little one to eat his veggies.

Then one day, everything changed. I overheard my partner discussing a new research paper with her clinical team. The paper highlighted how microplastics were present in everything, including our food, and the unsettling impact they had on our health.

For the first time, I truly understood that the plastic problem wasn't just polluting our oceans and environment; it was silently polluting our bodies. And for my family, it was starting in our own kitchen.

The next morning, after a walk with our little one, I stood in my kitchen with a coffee and I truly saw it for the first time. Our kids’ drink bottles, their snack bowls, their lunchboxes. All of it was plastic, touching their food all day, every day.

I couldn’t unsee it.

That moment sent me on a mission. I tried “safer”, “colourful” alternatives, but their practicality was deeply frustrating. Silicone kept a faint soapy taste or yesterday's pasta sauce. Bamboo plates, often melamine-coated or hand-wash only (who’s got the time?). Then the odd shapes hogged the top rack of the dishwasher. Useful? Not really.

Frustrated with the modern options, the answer came from a childhood memory.

Growing up, my family used simple stainless steel dinnerware. It was durable, safe, easy to clean, and some of it had been passed down for generations. Why had we traded this time-tested solution for a cupboard full of frustrating, potentially harmful "BPA-free" plastic?

We believe peace of mind is the most important ingredient in any home. Our mission is to create products that bring confidence and calm to your daily routine.

I knew stainless steel was the answer. It could be passed down, or at least survive a toddler's frisbee toss (wear a helmet), something those 'unbreakable' glass & ceramic plates that survived my uni days certainly couldn't.

But durability wasn't enough. I had tried using my old stainless steel camping plates at home and quickly learnt: what gets you to a summit won't get your toddler to finish their dinner, especially if the pasta and peas are touché-touché. Trust me :)

My conviction grew even stronger when I thought back to a previous job working in a recycling factory. I had seen firsthand how little plastic is actually properly recycled. It solidified a core belief for me:

The best kind of plastic is the one we never produce in the first place.

After talking with friends and family, I realised this was a shared problem that needed a genuine solution.

That’s when Greenvyne was truly born. While my focus started with our kids' non-toxic dinnerware, I quickly realised the mission was bigger: to help households everywhere reduce their reliance on plastic, from the lunchbox to the pantry. We make high-quality, non-toxic stainless-steel products that last. They're designed for every stage, from first solids to school lunches and weekend adventures, so healthier choices are easy.

Less waste, more savings, a healthier planet.

It’s been a challenging and joyful journey, building this brand while raising our kids. I believe deeply in making sustainable choices easier as we all move closer to a plastic-free home.

Thank you for being part of our story.
