Our Commitment to Quality & Safety
When you welcome a Greenvyne product into your home, you’re placing your trust in us. It’s a responsibility we take personally, because this business was born from a desire to give our own families the safest, most durable, and most beautiful products possible. (Non-toxic kids' dinnerware is our passion.)
We understand that choosing dinnerware and drinkware for your children goes beyond just looks and colours. You need absolute confidence that it is safe and durable, day after day. This page is our commitment to transparency, outlining the rigorous steps we take to ensure every product we sell meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Our Safety Framework: A Three-Tiered Approach
To ensure nothing is left to chance, we operate on a strict three-tiered safety framework.
- Australian Law as our Foundation: We adhere to all mandatory requirements set by the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code and the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC).
- Global Standards as our Benchmark: Where local laws don't specify a method, we voluntarily adopt the world's most stringent food-contact and child safety standards, primarily from Europe (EU) and the USA (FDA).
- Independent Labs as our Proof: We don't just take our manufacturers' word for it. We engage independent, accredited laboratories to verify the quality of our materials and products, ensuring the results are impartial and trustworthy.
Material Deep Dive: 304 and 316 Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is naturally BPA- and microplastic-free, making it a smart, planet-friendly choice for family life. We craft our products from premium 304- and 316-grade stainless steel, renowned for its exceptional durability and corrosion resistance.
How do we ensure our steel is safe?
We know that different batches and manufacturers require individual verification. That’s why we have our stainless steel tested by independent labs to confirm two key things:
- It is certified as food-grade 304 and 316 stainless steel.
- It passes stringent heavy metal migration tests based on leading European standards. This verifies that trace elements like nickel and chromium do not transfer from the steel into your child's food.
You can explore our range of tested stainless steel products, including our popular Kids Stainless Steel Plates and versatile Stainless Steel Bowls.
Material Deep Dive: 100% Food-Grade Silicone
The soft, flexible silicone used in our products is platinum-cured, 100% pure, food-grade silicone with no plastic fillers.
Is all silicone baby-safe?
Not all silicone is created equal. We ensure ours is of the highest quality by verifying it against the world's best food-contact standards, including German LFGB and US FDA regulations. This comprehensive testing confirms our silicone:
- Does not contain harmful substances like BPA, BPS, or phthalates.
- Does not transfer any unwanted tastes or odours to food.
- Is safe for contact with all food types, including watery, acidic, and fatty foods.

Uncompromising Child Safety
For products designed to be used by young children, we go a step further. Beyond food-contact safety, we must ensure the physical design is safe for little hands and mouths.
Products like our Cutlery Sets, Sippy Cup, and Snack Pot are tested against the ACCC Mandatory Standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months. This is not optional; it’s the law. The standard (AS/NZS ISO 8124.1) is a rigorous set of physical and mechanical tests that simulate dropping, pulling, and twisting to ensure:
- No Choking Hazards: No small parts can break off and become a danger.
- No Sharp Points or Edges: The product remains smooth and safe, even after rough use.
Our Extra Commitments for Your Peace of Mind
- Dishwasher Durability: We understand that convenience is key for busy families in Australia. That’s why we don't just say our products are "dishwasher safe"—we prove it. We commission independent lab tests, subjecting our products to dozens of cycles to ensure they won't degrade, rust, or warp. For more details, please visit our Product Care page.
- Purity as a Principle: Our commitment to safety includes what we leave out. We use pure, single materials like stainless steel and silicone, without unnecessary non-stick coatings or chemical treatments. This is how we naturally avoid concerns about chemicals like PFAS in our tableware.
