What You Get

Multicolour Set: 4 x stainless steel cups with non-slip silicone grip band. Designed for little hands and households where colour-coding by person matters.

Classic: 1 x stainless steel cup, no silicone grip band. Clean single-wall steel, same electropolished interior, same 350ml capacity. For those who prefer a simpler cup without the grip.

The silicone grip band on the multicolour cups is removable for cleaning and slides back on securely for daily use.

The Details

  • The vibrant colours that are not coated: Four colours, zero plastic, zero arguments about whose cup is this. It solves a specific daily friction point with siblings and family at the dinner table in a way that sounds trivial until you have lived the alternative.
  • The electropolished interior: People who switch from plastic cups notice within the first week that there is no residual taste from whatever was in the cup yesterday. Smoothie, juice, water, each one tastes like itself.
  • The grip band gets appreciated more over time than it does at first. The tactile surface gives smaller hands something to hold without the cup feeling clunky or oversized. Several customers mention using the cup as much as their kids do.
  • The stackability gets discovered rather than expected. The cups nest cleanly, which matters in small kitchens where bench and cupboard space is genuinely at a premium, especially in an apartment.

The Bigger Picture

  • This cup is designed to replace the plastic cups that leave most Australian households every year when they crack, stain or warp. A household that replaces two plastic cups per year per child goes through roughly 20 to 30 plastic cups over a child's first decade of school. This cup replaces all of them and some more.
  • 304-grade stainless steel does not degrade. The electropolished interior does not wear. The silicone grip band is the only component with a finite lifespan, and replacement bands are planned for the Greenvyne range.
  • The cup body is 100% plastic-free. Packaging is also plastic-free throughout.
  • At the end of its useful life, measured in decades for stainless steel, the cup can be used to store nuts and bolts in your shed or can be fully recycled through your kerbside metal recycling. It does not go to your council’s landfill.

Dimensions & Care

Dimensions

  • Height: 10.5cm
  • Diameter (top): 8cm
  • Capacity: 350ml (approximately 12oz)

Use

  • Suitable for: water, juice, milk, smoothies, cold drinks and room-temperature drinks.
  • For warm drinks, test the temperature before giving to young children, as single-wall steel conducts heat directly. The silicone grip provides some insulation, but the cup will be warm to the touch with hot liquids inside.
  • Not suitable for boiling liquids, the steel will transfer heat immediately and may cause burns. Not suitable for use as a thermos or insulated cup, this is a single-wall cup designed for room temperature and cold drinks in daily family use.
  • Not microwave safe.

Care

  • Dishwasher safe. Top rack recommended for both the cup and the silicone grip band.
  • The silicone band can be left on during dishwasher cycles. It is designed to stay in place. Remove it for a deep clean and slide it back on firmly until it seats at the mid-band position.
  • Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent water spotting on the steel. Spotting is cosmetic only and does not affect food safety or performance.

Materials & Certifications

  • Cup Body: 304-grade stainless steel (18/8)
  • Finish: Electropolished inside and satin polished outside.
  • Grip Band: Food-grade silicone
  • Free from: Heavy metals, lead, cadmium and coatings on all food-contact surfaces.
  • No painted exterior on food-contact areas. The coloured grip bands are silicone, no paint or dye contacts the drink or your mouth.
  • Independent Testing: Independently lab tested to EU food-contact materials guidelines and FDA standards.

About Electropolishing

  • Electropolishing is an electrochemical finishing process that removes a fine layer of surface material from the steel, leaving an ultra-smooth, microscopically clean interior. The result is a surface that resists odour absorption more effectively than standard mill-finish stainless steel and produces a consistently clean-tasting drink regardless of what was in the cup previously. It is the same finishing process used in pharmaceutical and food processing equipment where surface cleanliness is critical.

About 304 Stainless Steel

  • 304-grade stainless steel contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, which is why it is also written as 18/8. The chromium creates a passive oxide layer that resists corrosion and prevents the steel from reacting with food or drink under normal conditions. It is recognised as a safe food-contact material under EU Framework Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and used globally in professional food processing, medical equipment and commercial kitchens.

Stainless Steel Cup with Silicone Grip | 350ml

$44.95

What age is the 350ml stainless steel cup suitable for?

The 350ml cup is suitable from approximately 18 months as children transition away from sippy cups to open-cup drinking. The non-slip silicone grip makes it manageable for toddlers developing the grip strength for open cups, while the 350ml capacity is practical for school-aged children, teens and adults.

There is no upper age limit. Several customers use it as their everyday water or smoothie cup alongside their children's cups. The four distinct colours in the multicolour set make it easy for every family member to have their own without any additional labelling.

Is the 350ml cup dishwasher safe?

Yes. Both the stainless steel body and the silicone grip band are dishwasher safe. Top rack placement is recommended for both.

The silicone band can be left on during dishwasher cycles and is designed to stay in place. If you want to do a deeper clean of the interior, remove the band, wash the cup on its own, and slide the band back on firmly to the mid-cup position.

In hard water areas, dry the steel body after the cycle to prevent water spotting. The spotting is cosmetic only.

Can you use this cup for hot drinks?

The cup is suitable for warm drinks but not boiling liquids. Single-wall stainless
steel conducts heat directly, a cup filled with boiling water will be immediately hot to the touch on the steel rim and body. The silicone grip provides some insulation on the lower portion of the cup but the rim remains exposed.

For warm milk, warm cocoa or herbal tea that has cooled slightly, the cup is fine and the silicone grip makes it manageable. Test the temperature before giving any warm drink to young children.

If you need a cup that keeps drinks hot and stays cool to the touch, you need a vacuum-insulated cup rather than this single-wall design.

Does the cup have any taste or smell?

No. The electropolished interior resists odour absorption and taste transfer. A smoothie on Monday and water on Friday come out of the dishwasher tasting exactly the same, there is no residual flavour from the previous drink.

This is one of the most common reasons people switch from plastic cups, where residual smell after juice or milk is a persistent issue regardless of how thoroughly the cup is washed.

Can the silicone band be removed?

Yes. The silicone grip band is designed to be removable. It slides off over the rim of the cup and back on to the mid-band position. The fit is firm enough that it does not move during normal use or dishwasher cycles, but it releases cleanly when you want to remove it for a deep clean or to replace it.

Replacement grip bands are planned for the Greenvyne range. Join our email list to be notified when they are available.

Is the 350ml cup BPA-free?

Yes. The cup is BPA-free, BPS-free and phthalate-free. Both the stainless steel body and the food-grade silicone grip band have been independently lab tested to FDA standards. There is no plastic on any food-contact surface, the body is steel, the grip is food grade silicone, and neither contains BPA or its common replacements.

Where can I buy stainless steel cups for kids in Australia?

Greenvyne ships stainless steel cups Australia-wide from our online store at greenvyne.com.au. Flat-rate shipping is $14.95 on all orders with free shipping on orders over $129. All orders are dispatched from Melbourne, typically within one business day.

We are an Australian-owned small business and sell directly to consumers only, not through third-party retailers, so every purchase comes with direct customer support and full warranty coverage.

What is the difference between the multicolour 4-pack and the Classic?

The multicolour 4-pack includes four stainless steel cups with silicone band in four distinct colours. Apricot, Seafoam, Wattle and Lavender. It is designed for families who want one colour per person so everyone knows their cup without labelling or guessing.

The Classic is a single stainless steel cup with no silicone grip band. Same 350ml capacity, same 304-grade steel body, same electropolished interior, just a cleaner, simpler finish if you prefer steel without the grip band.

If you have more than one child or want to colour-code by family member, the multicolour set is the practical choice. If you want a single solid everyday cup, the Classic is the right pick.

What is the best stainless steel cup for smoothies in Australia?

For a daily smoothie cup, the key requirements are a capacity that fits a full blended serving, 300ml to 400ml is the practical range for most smoothie recipes. A non-porous interior that does not absorb the colour or smell of yesterday's berry smoothie, and a surface that comes out of the dishwasher clean without residual fruit staining.

The Greenvyne 350ml stainless steel cup with electropolished interior meets all three. The electropolished finish is non-porous at a microscopic level, significantly smoother than standard mill-finish steel, which means berry pigment, protein powder and fruit residue wash out completely in a standard dishwasher cycle.

At 350ml it fits a medium smoothie serving comfortably. The non-slip silicone grip makes it easy for little ones to hold. Available as a 4-pack multicolour set for
households where one cup per person makes the morning routine simpler.

Are stainless steel cups safe for toddlers learning to drink?

Yes. 304-grade stainless steel is one of the safest materials for children's open cup drinking. It is completely inert; it does not leach chemicals into the drink, does not react with acidic juices, and does not shed particles of any kind under normal use.

The practical advantage over glass for a learning toddler is obvious: the steel cup dents before it shatters. Dropped on a tile floor from table height, a stainless steel cup bounces. A glass cup does not. The non-slip silicone grip on the Greenvyne 350ml cup provides additional security for smaller hands, developing the grip strength for open cup drinking.

The recommended age for introducing an open cup is approximately 18 months,
when most children have developed enough coordination and lip control for open cup drinking. For the transition before that age, the Greenvyne 3-in-1 stainless steel sippy cup covers the spout and straw stages from around 6 months.
